The grand opening is scheduled for Friday, June 20.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-7\">The Portland-based scoop shop is all about surprising fans with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sonomamag.com\/what-is-stir-fried-ice-cream-and-why-do-santa-rosa-teens-love-it\/\">out-of-the-box flavors<\/a> like Sea Salt Caramel Ribbons, Honey Lavender, Arbequina Olive Oil, and Salted Malted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-8\">Its ever-changing monthly specials offer even more unexpected combinations. (Salt &amp; Straw)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-11\">Last year, Salt &amp; Straw teamed up with Russian River Brewing to create <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressdemocrat.com\/article\/lifestyle\/russian-river-brewing-salt-and-straw-ice-cream\/\">a beer-infused ice cream<\/a> using the brewery\u2019s Supplication Ale. The ice cream included ribbons of chocolate fudge that Salt &amp; Straw owner Tyler Malek infused with the ale, swirls of sour cherry marmalade and manchego cheese.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-12\">\u201cIt\u2019s a bizarre mixture but totally works,\u201d said Russian River Brewing co-owner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressdemocrat.com\/article\/lifestyle\/russian-river-brewing-salt-and-straw-ice-cream\/\">Natalie Cilurzo last June<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-13\">The grand opening will kick off 11 a.m. Friday. Nearby Avid Coffee will provide cold brew samples in the morning and local musician Brie Page will be performing from 6-9 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-14\">Salt &amp; Straw joins several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressdemocrat.com\/article\/north-bay\/montgomery-village-santa-rosa\/\">new food and beverage tenants<\/a> at Montgomery Village. Mendocino Farms <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressdemocrat.com\/article\/lifestyle\/mendocino-farms-santa-rosa-2\/\">opened in May<\/a>. Upcoming additions include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressdemocrat.com\/article\/lifestyle\/fieldwork-brewing-santa-rosa\/\">Fieldwork Brewing<\/a>, Sprinkles Cupcakes, Blue Bottle Coffee and Sweetgreens.
